Habitat: Common in shortgrass patch within exotics-dominated midgrass hay meadow on lighter colored soils on level upland underlain by Beaumont Formation. Associates include Abutilon wrightii, Aristida purpurea, Aristolochia erecta, Bothriochloa laguroides, Bouteloua rigidiseta, Cenchrus spinifex, Chloris cucullata, Convolvulus equitans, Cynanchum barbigerum, Dalea sp., Ditaxis humilis, Dyssodia tenuiloba, Evolvulus alsinoides, Galactia heterophylla, Justicia pilosella, Prosopis glandulosa, Richardia tricocca, Schrankia sp., Sida abutifolia, Simsia calva, Sphaeralcea pedatifida, Tragia sp.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
