Boulders and fine-grained pale soils in dense riparian thicket along arroyo which drains the cienega to the W. With Prosopis, Baccharis, Aloysia, Cynodon, Cnetaurium, Eleochris, Nicotiana in drainade. CD scrub on low hills above arroyo. Prostrate annual. Glands red-purple, lacking appendages. Common in hard-packed fine-grained gravelly soils.
