Habitat: Stems prostrate, glutinous, rooting at nodes; corolla dark pink; common in somewhat saline dark gray clay in bed of jeep road through dense stand of Chloracantha spinosa and Spartina spartinae overtopped by Parkinsonia aculeata on frequently flooded lower part of Nueces River floodplain. Other associates include Senecio tampicanus, Evax verna, Oenothera speciosa, Triodanis perfoliata, Selenia grandis, Astragalus sp.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
