W of houses, 2.0 airmiles ESE of summit of Crown Mountain. 1.4 mi. S of Gobbler Knob. Crown Mountain Quadrangle. [Databaser note: lat/long given as +/- 13.8 ft.]. Elev. 1630 - 1640 ft.

Habitat: Apparently rare, encountered at one site, on somewhat sparingly vegetated dry gravel bars exposed. Associates include Baccharis sp., Bothriochloa ischaemum, Cynodon dactylon, Muhlenbergia lindheimeri, Phyla nodiflora, Senna lindheimeriana and seedlings of Platanus occidentalis.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
