Locality: United States, Texas, Brewster, Ca. 70 mi S of Alpine.
Habitat: Cretaceous gypsiferous clay; pure formation almost bare of vegetation; most plants (Chino grama) in gravel top soil; this locality shows yellowish and whitish deposits; Common Plants: Chenopodium, Atriplex, Suaeda, Sporobolus wrightii, Haplopappus scabrella. Rays and disc yellow, perennial.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
