Locality: United States, Texas, Real, Ca. 17 road miles N of Leakey along Hwy. 336, plants along the Short Prong of the West Fork of the Frio River and along a roadway E of the Prong.
Habitat: Area with limestone W-facing cliffs along stream, with Quercus fusiformis, Q. laceyi, Prunus virginiana, Morus, Rhus etc. Frequent rounded clumps on the W-facing cliffs above Rio. Lvs. fleshy, fls. gold-yellow.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
