Habitat: Occasional in moist silty soil on partially shaded W shoreline of pond. Associates include Andropogon glomeratus, Baccharis neglecta, Bothriochloa ischaemum, Cyperus odoratus, Eupatorium serotinum, Helenium elegans, Justica americana, Ludwigia octovalvis, Mitreola petiolata, Paspalum urvillei.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
