Habitat: Partially stabilized sand dunes with Quercus havardii and Calylophus hartweggii. Annuals to 3 m. Locally abundant on dunes. Lower leaves occasionally cordate. Rays deep yellow, disk dark brown.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
