Locality: United States, Texas, Val Verde, Amistad National Recreation Area: Pafford's Crossing. Sample plot no. 1. Gillis Ranch Quad (1:24,000).
Habitat: Level, alluvial, gravelly (limestone), deep silty soils on east bank of Devil's River; huisache-mixed grass open woodland with silver bluestem, King Ranch bluestem, Bermuda grass, pink pappusgrass, buffelgrass, and sideoats grama. With Acacia minuata, Bothriochloa barbinodis, B. ischaemum var. songarica, Cynodon dactylon, Pappophorum bicolor, Cenchrus ciliaris, and Bouteloua curtipendula. Infrequent perennial to 25 cm. Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
