Habitat:
Pale pinkish-gray alluvial soils. Associated with Guaiacum, Opuntia leptocaulis, Larrea, Fouquieria, Acacia greggii, A. neovernicosa, Senna lindheimeri, Viquiera stenoloba, Wedelia, and Hibiscus denudatus. Shrub 1 m tall. Leaves shining-varnished. Fls clear lemon yellow. Open 0900 hrs.
