Locality: United States, Texas, La Salle, To the S side of Rt. 624, ca. 0.7 mi. W of Sauz Creek ca. 10.2 mi. SE of the intersection with Rt. 469 and ca. 23 mi. SE of Cotulla.
Habitat: Shrub 4 ft tall. Rare, only a few plants seen. The farthest east I've ever seen this species. Sparsely fruiting. Growing along a low hilltop in gravel with Acacia berlandieri, A. rigidula, Bumelia celastrina, and Ziziphus obtusifolia.
Phenology: fruiting=late
