Habitat: One plant noted in gravel and cobbles over Devils River Limestone exposed in dry bed of intermittent creek draining rocky slopes supporting juniper-oak woodlands and pasture openings. Associates include Aristida purpurea and Salvia farinacea.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
