Habitat: Rare in Salix-dominated strip of open riparian woodland on clayey alluvium. Associates include Acmella oppositifolia, Campsis radicans, Carex cherokeensis, C. crus-corvi, Celtis laevigata, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Chloracantha spinsoa, Cynodon dactylon, Eclipta prostrata, Eleocharis sp., Gleditsia triacanthos, Hydrocotyle cf. verticillata, Malachra capitata, Marsilea macropoda, Ranunculus sceleratus, Sabal minor, Samolus parviflorus, and Urtica chamaedryoides.
Reproductive Condition: sterile
