Habitat: Growing out of vertical gray N-facing limestone rock, often under overhangs; from a thick short caudex; flwrs. yellow; common. NW facing hillside, grassy withg much Juniperus, Condalia, Platyopuntia, Diospyros, Yucca, Dasylirion, Agave lecheguilla, Mimosa, Eysenhardtia, Aloysia, etc.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruting=mid
