Bayou bank, ca. 10 m from , 2 m above water. Buff silty sand. Fraxinus sp. - Ulmus crass. - Iva frut. - Baccharis hal. complex. Shrub 3 m bas. diam, 5 cm crown diam., 2 m. Suckered at base, loosely branched above. Somewhat umbellate in shape. Bark blotchy gray and tan, smoothish, with pimple-lenticels. Foliage has rank soapy odor when crushed. Fruits green.
