Spores well-formed (but mostly immature?). Much less scaly (especially on the lamina) than 4523. Locally common (but P. lemmonii was the one that was common on the adjacent talus area? See CJR4511).
Species collected here were Polystichum scopulinum (locally common; CJR 4513), Selaginella wallacei (common; CJR 4514), Myriopteris gracillima (common; CJR 4515), Polypodium cf hesperium (locally common; CJR 4516), Adiantum aleuticum (rare here, but common nearby; CJR 4517).
