Habitat: Granitic boulders on hills bordering large wash; decomposed granite sand and gravel; slopes and wash margins with Baccharis brachyphylla, Senegalia, Larrea, Lycium andersonii, Krameria bicolor, etc. A couple of Olneya just downstream in wash. Dry year; poor winter rains.
Notes: Scarce annual in sand at edges of wash; fls. yellow.
