Habitat: Soil characteristics: Lakeland sand, 0 to 5 percent slopes (21) - very deep, excessively drained, rapidly to very rapidly permeable soils on uplands formed in thick beds of eolian or marine sands. Associated plant species: Krigia virginica, Erigeron strigosus, Vulpia sciurea, Sphenopholis obtusata, Cerastium glomeratum, Hordeum pusillum, Trifolium campestre, Oxalis dillenii, Arenaria serpyllifolia var. tenuior. Common.
