Habitat: At base of S. facing slope on gravelly bench just above drainage bottom with Populus angustifolius, Rhus aromatica ssp. trilobata, Descurainia sophia, Oenothera sp., Achnanatherum hymenoides, Hesperostipa comata; rhizomatous; flowers yellow, scattered locally.
Substrate: Quaternary terrace deposits derived from surrounding Precambrian granite hills and Tertiary intrusive volcanic rock
Associated Species: Populus angustifolius; Rhus aromatica ssp. trilobata; Descurainia sophia; Oenothera sp.; Achnanatherum hymenoides; Hesperostipa comata
