Associated Species: Prosopis velutina, Eysenhardtia orthocarpa, Fouquieria splendens, Bouteloua curtipendula, Aloysia wrightii, Bothriochloa barbinodis, Opuntia, Gossypium thurberi, Erythrina flabelliformis, Agave schottii, Notholaena grayi, Aristida ternipes, Digitaria californica, Disakisperma dubium, Heteropogon contortus, Porophyllum ruderale, Portulaca suffrutescens.
Description: Perennial forb, 30 cm; leaves succulent; flowers orange-yellow, opening mid-day.
