Habitat: Gypsum flats with deep biological soil crust and gray Moenkopi gravel in sparse Coleogyne ramosissima-Ephedra torreyana-Yucca vespertina community. Crust dominated by Diploschistes & Psora. Crust cover 60%.
Associated Species: Psorothamnus fremontii, Salvia dorrii, Bromus rubens
Description: Shrub 3 ft tall, spiny. Rare.
