Habitat: Subalpine meadow/slopes on 45 deg NE-facing grassy slope.
Substrate: Disturbed soil with gopher holes and tunnels.
Associated Species: Scattered small spruce & fir and Ribes shrubs. Grasses and sedges, yarrow, Antennaria, Geranium, Solidago, yellow and orange Agoseris spp., Anaphalis margaritacea.
Reproductive Condition: Spores
