Habitat:
Subalpine meadow slopes on 35 deg E-facing slope. Botrychiums in damp soil on slope below rocky bench with stand of spruce & aspen to N.
Substrate:
90% vegetation cover, 10% bare soil and arkosic sandstone rock/gravel.
Associated Taxa:
Grasses, sedges, Viola, Thlaspi, Draba (white), Ranunculus, Dandelion, Fragaria, Androsace, Valeriana, Caltha, Veratrum.
Description:
Botrychiums mostly growing in dense vegetation in solid, root-massed sod which must be cut by a knife; some plants in bare spots.
