Habitat: Canyon between high rocky slopes, large sandy and gravelly wash, rocky bench above wash; assoc. with Senegalia, Larrea, Hyptis emo., Bebbia, Prosopis glandulosa, Lycium ander., Sphaeralcea ambigua, Parkinsonia flo., Encelia farin., Trixis, etc.
Description: Scarce annual in open area on a bench; fls. yellow-orange. 5 calyx lobes.
